The Means

Heavenly Holiday Ministries will recruit, train, equip and send short term “Mission Specific Teams" to meet the needs in communities our directors (along with Missionary’s serving around the World) identify as critical. With twenty plus years of experience in short term missions, we will Identify skill sets within our recruits and match them with available resources and teams to utilize said skill sets and provisions to their fullest potential. By building Teams that are compatible with the needs they seek to fulfill (rather than seeking people to meet the need of the team, i.e., Construction {only) – we will open opportunities for all that have a heart to serve and be a blessing, regardless of their history or skill sets.
To date, our founders (in service with the Assemblies of God), have successfully completed Construction Teams (having built Churches, Homes, Community Centers and Orphanages on every Continent save Australia). We’ve had lifesaving success with our Doctors and their Medical Teams in multiple countries. Teachers and Educational Teams have taught multitudes in Hygiene, Marital Relations, Social Dynamics and Spiritual Maturity across the Globe and our Evangelistic out-reaches (a common component across our spectrum of teams). We’ve fed the hungry in several countries, and literally introduced people everywhere we’ve been to the Love of God through the saving knowledge of His Son Jesus Christ.

What is a "Short Term Missions Team" ?
A short-term Missions team with Heavenly Holiday Ministries is where a small team serves with our international partners, meeting the physical and spiritual needs of people all over the world. Our vision is for Heavenly Holiday Ministries Mission Teams to be an opportunity for people to pursue spiritual growth and healthy relationships through sharing God's Love in a tangible way.

How do I "Go" (what's the process?)
Training: Refined over the past decade, our pre-trip classes prepare team members for the challenges presented by short term mission’s teams. These online meetings are geared to the novice, but also engage all members to participate in team building exercises so that by the time of travel – the team has jelled into a functioning unit. This training covers all aspects of team life from the physical requirements of that team, necessary materials, traveling skills, moral requirements during travel, and most importantly – awareness of the spiritual reality these teams will encounter and operate in.
Equipment: In addition to recruiting team members to “Go”, we will also address the financial requirements of our teams (Construction Materials, Medicines, Food and Supplies, etc.) and appeal to those financially able to assist …to do so. With trust in Jehovah Jireh, the means will meet the need.
Send: Finally, with properly trained and equipped teams, we will “Go” where the Lord directs and opens doors. Teams will generally last 1 week with an occasional day or two added for extended travel days. Trip costs are “all Inclusive” covering all airfare, all “In Country” transportation, all accommodations, all meals, sightseeing (where applicable), visa’s, vaccinations, etc.
A typical week “In Country” will include 5 days of serving (in whatever form, medical, evangelistic, construction, educational, etc.), 1 free day that will include site-seeing and shopping, and 1 day for worship / rest.
The majority of our teams are adult (16+) and co-ed; however, we also try to have at least 1 “Family” orientated trip annually that allows children to experience the missions field. Traditionally these teams have an evangelistic focus on reaching youngsters so that 1.) Our “Kids” get to experience the reality of growing up in places less fortunate than those in the U.S., and 2.) so that the children we minister to have contact with those their own age for relational support.
Additionally, should the environment be particularly harsh, or not suitable to a coed Christian environment (no bathroom facilities, private sleeping quarters, etc.) we may field a “Men’s” only team to maintain accountability.
